FAQs
The quick of it:
• I am a registered psychologist.
• I accept Medicare rebates, and see Workcover NSW clients.
• I provide in-person sessions on the world’s softest sofa, or I can see you flexibly via telehealth.
My practice is based in Sydney, at 97/2 The Crescent, Kingsgrove, NSW, 2208.
I am currently available for sessions, including after-hours.
You can talk to your GP to get a mental health care plan under Medicare, which entitles you to 10 rebated psychology sessions per calendar year. At the time of writing, this rebate is $96.65 per session.
I also understand psychological support can be expensive, and am happy to discuss reduced rates on a case-by-case basis.

How do I make an appointment?
To make an appointment, simply fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page, and I’ll be in touch with you shortly, for a free 15 minute consultation.
Alternatively, you can email me directly at sagar@forthesol.au.
Are sessions confidential?
All information provided to a psychologist is confidential. This means we don’t disclose your information (or even that you’ve contacted us!) without your permission.
There are a few exceptions:
1. Psychologists must provide a report to your referring doctor as part of treating you under a Mental Health Care Plan. This also extends to other funding schemes such as WorkCover.
2. Psychologists must disclose minimal information related to safety if there’s concerns about risk (specifically, if you or another person is at risk of harm).
3. Psychologists are required to provide information in the instance of a subpoena.
What is your cancellation policy?
A minimum of 24 hours is appreciated to allow others to access appointments. I also understand sometimes things come up, and can waive the late-cancellation fee on a case-by-case basis.
Cancelling within 24 hours notice, or no-shows, result in a full-fee charge. Cancellation fees are not covered by Medicare.
Repeated late-cancellations and no-shows may result in the termination of the therapeutic relationship.
If you need to cancel an appointment, please notify the office as soon as possible by sending an email to sagar@forthesol.au, or texting me on 0449805700.
What can I expect from my first therapy appointment?
The first session is usually an introductory session where I get to learn about you, what you’ve been through, and what’s brought you in to see me. It can be nerve-wracking - you might be sharing something you’ve never told anyone before.
I can’t promise it’ll feel easy, but I can tell you I’ll be there with warmth and focus, and we’ll take this at whatever pace you need.
There’ll be laughs, there’ll be tears, and with a warm tea in hand, I promise you’ll feel lighter by the end.
You don’t need to bring anything or do any special prep. If you have something specific you want to talk about, or a preferred way of working, feel free to let me know. For everything else, we can figure it out together.
